@m. g.
take a look at 120hz lcd monitors. So-called 3D Ready monitors that can accept and display proper 120hz (and not the interpolated TV stuff) have twice as less sample-and-hold smearing, much less ghosting, fourfold less RTC artifacts, much smoother gameplay, smoother windows experience (yes read the reviews!) and no temporal rate issues 120/60=2 120/24=5.

Should carry us until 120hz SED. Too bad there still are no 1920x1200, only 1080p monitors so far.

Here's hoping AU Optronics sticks with this and brings it to the consumer market in light of the recent decision by Canon to stop development of consumer SED. Here's also hoping to see the SED regulars visiting this site.

still waiting for a new technique for my pc monitor....

lcd sucks big time...kept my CRT until this year ...only updated just recently..funny part is i still have my CRT next to my desk....n i even got me a so called better brand lcd from eizo

playing games on a lcd is a joke...motion bluris disgusting n annoying ...same for other weak fields the lcds have

i knew why i never upgraded to a lcd back when the hype broke out years ago...and i do design graphics too..only a good expensive lcd can atleast offer me good graphics now... but we in 2010 and this is what we got...almost 10 years later

thin displays that still cant compete with the old bulky crts...how sad so sad...n costumers still buyin them n hypin them up

sure thing ..both have pros n cons ..but for me the cons overweight...and all that in 2010....lmfao if it wasnt so sad it would be funny....unbelievable

crt

+ sharp on any resolution from 800*600 to 1900 pixels..

+ no motion blut effect in fast scenes n games

- huge n bulky

- smaller diagonals n so called 'outdated'

lcd

+ thin

+ better for the eyes in long work hours

- colors still cant compete with an old good crt..

- motion blur n many other problems with fast motions <- and thats a no go

keep this blog up though....but i doubt anythin new comes out until 2020...too many costumers run the shelves in the electronic stores and seem to be satisfied with their lcds ...forgetting about the rest
